Wilton Ray Barber, 68, of Dauphin Island passed away with his wife by his side, at their home on February 3, 2018. Born August 23, 1949, in Bayou La Batre, Alabama to mother, Verna Aileen Ladnier and father, James “J.W” Wilton Barber. He was married to Judy Smith on November 5, 1970. He was an avid fisherman, cast net maker, and retired from the Dauphin Island Sea Lab after many years. He enjoyed woodworking, boating, and spending time with family. He loved being out on the water, but also partaking in porch visits at home with lifelong friends. Wilton Ray Barber is survived by his wife, Judy Barber; 4 children: daughters, Tracy Bryant, Penny Barber (Tye) Raymer, Nicky Barber; son, Terril Barber; brother, Carroll (Margie) Delcambre; 6 grandchildren: Kriscbelle (Alex) Sweeney, Brittany (Kyle) Pitts, Casey (Shea) Bryant, Matthew (Cayleigh) Barber, Zachery Raymer and Madeline Barber; 2 great-grandchildren: Gradyn Sweeney and Jace Bryant.
