William Haskle Winfield

WINFIELD DAPHNE, AL William Haskle Winfield, age 86, a resident of Daphne, AL, passed away Monday, October 2, 2023. Bill was one of nine siblings. He served in the Air Force from 1956 until 1960. After leaving the military he moved to Sacramento California where he married Judy and they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in July. They relocated to the Mobile area in 1979 where they still reside. They have been an active member of the Lakeforest community and golf club for the last 27 years. He was preceded in death by his father William Gip “Papa” Winfield, Mother Letra Lois “Nanny” Winfield, his brothers Cecil Evert Winfield, Earl Willis Winfield, Larry Winfield, Huey Lane Winfield and sister Ruthie Fay Wilson. Bill is survived by, his wife of 60 years, Judy Winfield of Daphne, AL; daughter Melissa (David) Williams; grandchildren, Delaney Williams, Morgan Williams, Tyson Thompson and Nicole Thompson Barnes; great grandson, David Barnes; and sisters Betty Jean Cain, Yvonne Jordan and Joy Sue Parker as well as many other loving relatives and friends. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the Alabama State Veterans Cemetery in Spanish Fort.
