William Windham Hatter Jr., 100, a resident of Bay Minette, AL passed away Friday, June 9, 2023. He is survived by his sister, Jane Prager (Dutch) of Covington, his children, William Hatter III (Cheryl) of Daphne; Aletta Barnett (Kenneth) of Daphne; and David Hatter (Sharon) of Baton Rouge; 4 grandchildren, Angella Collins (Joe); Lauren Dye (Charles); Coley Hatter (Madison); and David Wayne Ingram; and 2 great-grandchildren, Madison and Makayla Collins. He is predeceased by his wife, Myrtle Hatter, his brother, Max Hatter, and his parents, William and Emma Hatter. William W. Hatter Jr. served in World War II as Sergeant in the United States Army with the 130 2nd Engineer Regiment in England and France. After returning from the war, William Hatter married Myrtle Chaney in 1947; they were married for 68 years. He was employed by Building Products of Jackson, Mississippi as Vice President of Accounting. A graveside service will occur at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Spanish Fort.
