Wesley Chad Callaway

Wesley Chad Callaway, 49, of Robertsdale, Alabama went home to be with his Lord and Savior whom he loved on January 11, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Wesley was born April 20, 1975, in Foley, Alabama to M. C. Callaway and Patricia Barnard.

Wesley was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and shrimping. He never missed an opportunity to spend time with his family and friends whom he loved very much. 

Wesley was employed by Craft Farms for approximately 12 years. He and his family then moved to South Carolina, where he began his career in the recycling industry at Stateline/Metal Recycling Services for 10 years. He then moved back home to Alabama and finished his career at Alter/SA Recycling in Mobile. Wesley met many wonderful people throughout his life and was a true friend to all. 

He is preceded in death by his father M.C. Callaway, sister-in-law, Jennifer Callaway, paternal grandparents, Joseph (Bid) and Gloria Callaway. Maternal grandparents, Fletcher and Vela Mae Kirchharr. 

He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 28 years Virginia (Ginny) Callaway, two daughters, Candace and Calleigh Callaway, and one son, Wesley Chad Callaway II, his mother, Patricia (Richard) Barnard, brother, Waylon (Nicky) Callaway, one niece, Shelby (Heath) Holland and many other loving relatives and friends. 

Wesley’s celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 18th, 2025. Visitation will take place from 12:30pm to 2:00pm, followed by a service at 2:00pm at Fishermen Baptist Church. located at 17117 River Road, Bon Secour, AL. 36511. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Wesley to Seaport Ministries, PO Box 383, Bon Secour, AL. 36511. 

Pallbearers will be Michael Aho, Ronnie Black, Brian Callaway, Scott Culbreth, Darrell, Hamilton, and Frank Nelson.
