Wathon Joyce Hill

Wathon Joyce Hill, age 86, a resident of Fairhope, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2019. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, Fairhope, and a member of Johnson Beech Sunday School Class. She loved the beach, fishing and playing golf. Wathon was preceded in death by a son, Steve Hill and a brother, Billy Buck. She is survived by her husband, Hennon Hill of Fairhope; daughters, Jan Kappel of Fairhope, and Lisa (Tony) Rankin of Sherrills Ford, N.C.; son, Tim (Dodie) Hill of Anniston, AL; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Fairhope. Visitation will begin at 1:00 until time of service. Graveside services and interment will be held on Monday, January 7, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the Alabama State Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Spanish Fort.
