Virginia "Dubbie" Turnipseed, 81, of Robertsdale, AL, passed away January 14, 2024, with her family by her side.
She was born to Grace Bell Moore Stewart and James Albert Stewart November 11, 1942. She was married to James Turnipseed, the love of her life for 60 years, who selflessly cared for her the past several years. James and Virginia were high school sweethearts.
Dubbie loved to cook and share recipes with anyone she came in contact with. If you had a few minutes to sit and talk with her, she would always give you some great ideas on what to cook. Anyone who knew her, knew that her favorite animal was the elephant. She had a room full of stuffed elephants, pictures, and figurines. Dubbie was a member of Bethel Baptist Church on Patricia Dr in Pensacola, FL. She loved the Lord Jesus Christ and reading the history behind how hymns were written. We have faith knowing we will see her again.
Dubbie is survived by her husband, James W. Turnipseed; her three children, Brenda Washington (Keith), Janice Brown, and Dorothy Adams (Chris); and brother, James "Jimmy" (Zoki) Stewart. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
