Vermelle Slaughter Draper

Vermelle Slaughter Draper, age 95, a native of Greenville,MS, and a resident of Foley, AL., passed away Monday, May 15, 2017. Vermelle moved to Foley in 2004. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Greenville, MS for over 81 years, and a member of the Foley  United Methodist Church. She was an office administrator at Greenville Compress Company, a Life Master at Bridge since 1978, and a member of GSDBC and ACBL. She was a loving Inspiration to everyone. Survivors include her children: Marsha  (Pete) Sanders of Foley, AL. , Madelyn Harlow of Grenada, MS., step children: John Draper, Debbie Cain, Eddie Dryer and Norma McBryden; grandchildren: Andrea (Steve) Wall of Oklahoma, Kimberly (Gary) Allen of Foley, Marsha C. Sanders of Albuquerque, NM, Rusty E. (Amy) Harlow of Grenada, MS, Michael (Darla) Harlow of Cleveland, MS, Jennifer (Bryan) Miller of Florence, KY, eleven great grandchildren, three great- great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Foley, Friday, May 19, 2017, at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends one hour prior to funeral service.
