Tonya Chastang

Tonya Chastang, age 75, a resident of Fairhope, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022.

Tonya was an educator at heart and taught 6^th grade for many years. She was dedicated to her students and their success and was a vital part of Daphne Middle School. After retirement, she found her true love in her grandchildren. She adored being a “Mimi” and loved her transport and homework duties.

Tonya is survived by her daughter, Amy Chastang Long (Austin); son, Alan Chastang (Kim); grandchildren, Brandt, Baylor, Bishop, Breland, Baker, Johnny, Rodney; brother, Tom Etheridge (Gary); many other loving relatives and friends.

Graveside Service will be held Saturday, March 19 at 10:00am at Oak Hill Cemetery in Atmore, Alabama followed by a Celebration of Life luncheon at Lake Forest Yacht Club. Tonya’s family invites you to join us as we celebrate her life, remember her tenacious presence, and hopefully enjoy a beautiful spring day like she loved so much.  

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: The Haven in honor of Tonya’s love of animals and the companionship provided by her dog Mardi.
