Tony L Batley

Tony Lee Batley, also known as Batman, passed away on December 16, 2023, at the age of 66 in Gulf Shores, Alabama. He was born on February 6, 1957. A 1975 graduate of Jackson Academy. Tony is survived by his Mother, Martha Batley of Jackson, Al., Wife, Reta Batley of Gulf Shores, Al., his Children, Shelley (Chase) Meitzler of Jackson, Al., Hunter (Rachel) Batley of Saraland, Al., and Brett (Amanda) Horton of Spanish Fort, Al., and Sister, Lisa Nichols of Thomasville, Al. One of the greatest joys of his life were his 4 Grandchildren: Charlee and Chesley Meitzler; Blaine and Briley Horton. Tony was preceded in death by his father, WE Batley. In his professional life, Tony had a successful career as a Maintenance Supervisor at PCA. He was known for his dedication of 30 plus years. Tony was a very proud member of the Jackson, Alabama Masons. Tony had a passion for decorating for holidays and spent countless hours ensuring every occasion was celebrated with joy and creativity. He also enjoyed watching Alabama football and softball, cheering on his favorite teams. Above all, Tony cherished spending time with his family, creating memories that will be treasured forever. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday Dec 28, 2023 at 2:00pm at his home in Gulf Shores, Al.
