Therese Barbe Lyons

Therese Barbe Lyons, a much loved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, affectionately known as Bana, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2019, at the age of 91. Therese was born November 11, 1927, in New Orleans and lived a large part of her life in Westwego, LA, where her family owned and operated Barbe’s Dairy. For the past 17 years she resided in Daphne, AL. Therese was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Francis Lyons, Captain, USN, Retired; brother, Larry Barbe; and sisters, Jeanne Liggett, and Aimee Gigar. She is survived by her sons, Michael R. Lyons and wife Lisa, Stephen P. Lyons, and Paul R. Lyons; grandchildren, Michelle Orozco and husband Edward, Nicole Masson and husband Greg, Jason Lyons and wife Kelly, and Drew Lyons; great grandchildren, Kelsey Naquin, Madison Naquin, Avery Masson, Emma Masson, Cooper Masson, Bryce Lyons, Kinsi Lyons, and Ethan Lyons. A Celebration of Therese’s Life will be held Saturday, January 19, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. until time of service.
