Thelma Edith Buzbee

BUZBEE DAPHNE, AL Thelma Edith Buzbee, age 93, a native of Jay, FL, and a resident of Spanish Fort, AL, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2020. Thelma was a member of the Eastern Shore Baptist Church, a longtime volunteer at Mobile Infirmary, and she was instrumental as a founder of the Spanish Fort Water System. Preceded in death by her husband Frank Buzbee. She is survived by her two sons, Franklin Buzbee of Montgomery, AL, Donald (Rebecca) Buzbee of Mobile, AL; daughter, Sylvia (Jeffrey) Dunn of Hope Hull; five grandchildren, Joey Smitherman of Lawley, AL, Gavin (Alicia) Buzbee of Mobile, Justin Smitherman of Montgomery, Morgan (Jessica) Buzbee of Mobile, Janey Smitherman of Wetumpka; two great grandchildren, Jace Tyler Buzbee of Mobile, Brylie Brand of Wetumpka, and many other relatives and friends. Private graveside services will be held at Wilson Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations in Thelma’s name to St Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital at 262 Danny Thomas PI, Memphis, TN 38105.
