Terrance William “Terry” “TW” Martin, age 73, of Daphne, Alabama passed away peacefully at home on July 13, 2020 after a brave battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore “Ted” and Dorothy M. Martin. Terry was born in St. Albans, Vermont on April 20, 1947. He grew up in Virginia in the Shenandoah Valley and graduated from Turner Ashby High School in Bridgewater, Virginia. He was in the US Navy from 1966 to 1970. He graduated from the University of West Florida, Pensacola, with a degree in criminal justice and received his master’s degree in counseling from Troy University, Troy, Alabama. He was a juvenile probation officer and supervisor at Strickland Youth Center in Mobile, Alabama until he retired in 2009 and moved to Daphne, Alabama. Terry is survived by his wife of 40 years, Rosemary; sister, Pamela Cross (Danny); niece, Shawn Thompson (Tony) and their children, Aaron and Audrey; nephew, Brent Cross and his children, Austin (Laura), Tyler (Jeweliana) and Ava, and other family and many dear friends. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a private service will be held at Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Spanish Fort, Alabama. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cure PSP, 1216 Broadway, 2nd Floor, New York, New York 10001 or donations@curepsp.org.
