Ted John Hoffren

Ted John Hoffren, age 68, a longtime resident of Fairhope, passed away at his home surrounded by his family, Tuesday, May 19, 2020. He was a teacher for 26 years, to include Robertsdale Vocation School, Bay Minette High School, Fairhope High School, FFA 4-H Club and was the President of the Alabama Ag Association with the State of Alabama. He was a mentor and friend to all of his students. Ted also owned and operated Hoffren’s Landscaping. He was preceded in death by grandchildren, Rosalin Kenny and Vesper Kenny; sister, Nancy Peck and brother-in-law, Robert Peck. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Hoffren of 22 years, of Fairhope; daughters, Reice Teel of Silverhill and Jennifer (John) Kenny of Fairhope; son, Thomas (Linda) Holmes, Jr. of Loxley; nine grandchildren: Kristen Carson, Caspian Kenny, David Kenny, Travis Holmes, Tyson Holmes, Tristan Grinnell, Koby Grinnell, Alayna Grinnell and Kyla Grinnell; four great grandchildren; brother, Wayne (Betty) Hoffren; many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 22, 2020, in the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, at 10:00 a.m. The family will begin receiving friends at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow funeral service at Colony Cemetery.
