Susan Daniel

Susan Daniel, age 73, and a resident of Fish River Community, AL, passed away on February 1, 2024.

Susan was a native of Tennessee and a long-time resident of Fish River Community. She was a teacher for 37 years and retired from the Baldwin County Board of Education in 2009. She was an avid reader, painter, and attended Gulf Shores Methodist Church.  Susan lived life to the fullest. She was a wife, a mother, a teacher, and artist, and a friend. She had a light about her and was always full of happiness.  She loved spreading love, light, and laughter.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Gene and Jhoanne Daniel; and her son, Joshua Scott Daniel-Walters.

Susan is survived by her husband, Stevens R. Heath of Fish River Community, AL; daughter, Sarah (Al) Wiest; stepdaughter, Valeria (Zack) Bongard; sister, Deborah Daniel; grandchildren, Aeraly and Addison Wiest and Eli, Lucas, and Arianna Bongard; great-grandchild, Alissia Bongard; and many other loving relatives and friends.

 A celebration of Susan’s life will be held March 9, 2024, at noon with a reception to follow at Gulf Shores Methodist Church located at 1900 Gulf Shores Parkway.
