Steven Douglas Smith

Steven Douglas Smith, age 62, a native of Mobile , AL , and resident of Farmingdale ,NY passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2019. Steven was a 1974 graduate of Davidson High School. He was a veteran of the U.S Navy serving for four years. He graduated from the University Of South Alabama with a Bachelor of Science Degree and Master of Science Degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences. He received his Audiology Doctorate from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, School of Audiology. Steven was an avid Alabama Football fan, and an avid baseball fan having played during his high school years. Steven was preceded in death by his father Riley D. “Buddy” Smith, grandparents, Garvis and Daisy Estes, Earl and Tessie Smith. He is survived by his fiancé, Gina Ardell ; mother, Martha F. Smith ( Kevin Assman); daughters , Michelle Smith Canterbury ( Randall), Madeline Smith, Jessica Smith ;son Parker Smith; sister, Roxanne Smith McCrory ( Mark); grandchildren, great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne Friday, March 8 at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
