Stephen "Steve" Glen Gibson

Stephen (Steve) Glen Gibson, age 59, a resident of Fairhope, Alabama passed away on January 7, 2021. Steve was preceded in death by his father, Ray Glen Gibson, He is survived by his mother, Blanche L. Wise, his sister, Gay Gibson, his nephew, Cody Lee Pierce, his nieces, Ashlyn Quinn Pierce and Jillian Kidd Pierce, his great nephew, Ryker Knox Kidd; his Aunts and one Uncle, Joann Langham, Walt and Floy Watley, and his cousins, Kevin, Jody and Jeffrey McLeod and Theron Watley along with many other family and friends. Steve graduated from Fairhope High School in 1979 and was a Member of the Buccaneer band where he played the trombone and baritone. He also enjoyed singing in the Fishers of Men Ensemble at First Baptist Church. After high school, he enlisted in the Air Force and served six years where he spent the majority stationed at Hahn Air Force Base in Germany. He had a long career working in various capacities at Civil Engineering firms along the Gulf Coast. Those who knew Steve well knew that he could be quite the character, always handy with a joke and he truly was gifted in music. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their prayers, support and love during this difficult time. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 10, 2021, at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope. The family will begin receiving family and friends at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital, P.O.
