Stephen Emberson Sr.

EMBERSON, STEPHEN JOHN SR. GULF SHORES, AL Stephen John Emberson Sr., age77, a resident of Gulf Shores, Alabama passed away Sunday, October 18, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his son David Emberson; a brother, Jim Emberson, and parents, James Franklin and Elizabeth C. Emberson. He is survived by his wife Barbara Emberson; son Stephen Emberson Jr. (K.C.); daughter Leigh Emberson; three grandchildren Ava, Rylan and Lincoln Emberson; sisters Elaine Taylor (Norman), Eleanor Williamson (Darrell); sister in law Gail Emberson and many nieces and nephews. Steve was a graduate of The University of Georgia. He was an educator and served the community of Douglas County, GA for over 30 years. Steve was a loving husband, father, and Poppa and will continue to cheer on the Dawgs from his special place in heaven. A celebration of life will be held in his honor in Douglas County, GA on November 7, 2020. In lieu of flowers, the family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to their favorite charity in Steve's name.
