Stanley Mayfield

Stanley Joe Mayfield, a resident of Fairhope AL., passed away Sunday June 11, 2023, at the age of 69. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts on August 17, 1953, to the late Joseph (Joe) and Geraldine (Gerry) Anderson Mayfield. He retired from Honeywell FM&T after 36 years of service. He began his career as a machinist, served as a safety Engineer and retired as an IT Systems Engineer. Stan was a true patriot serving as Sergeant in the United States Airforce. He was in maintenance and repair keeping the helicopter fleet safe and secure. Hobbies included playing chess, cars, playing cards and fishing. He is survived by his wife Leila Mayfield, stepson Darius Assin, cousins Bob Anderson and Vicky Robertson, friends and family Tom Perrin, Doug Shebert, Rick and Nancy VanHoose, James Hawkins, Mike and Dianne, Czerny and Kris, Tran, Eoffe, and the Sabio family as well as extended family in the Philippines. A celebration of Stanley’s life will be held Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, from 9:30am until 11:30am, with a brief service at 10:00am.
