Sheila Ann Nelson

Sheila A. Nelson, born June 29th, 1934, passed away on August 31st, 2024, having recently celebrated her 90th birthday with family and friends.

Mrs. Nelson was a native of Sheboygan Wisconsin and was a 67-year resident of Daphne Alabama. She was dedicated to her faith, her family, her friends, and to her community. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and friend. She was retired from G&K Services and was a long-time member of the Daphne United Methodist Church. For many years she was very active in Pet Therapy ministry.

Mrs. Nelson was preceded in death by her daughter Melodie Ann Nelson and her husband James Theodore Nelson.

Mrs. Nelson is survived by two sons, Craig (Cynthia) Nelson of Magnolia Springs Alabama and Jeff Nelson (Patty) of Daphne Alabama and daughter Sherry (Scott) Langlitz of Daphne Alabama.

Mrs. Nelson is also survived by six grandchildren, Melissa (Brian) Nolte, Jonathan Nelson, Erin (Nick) Ikner, Lindsay Hunt, Grayson Langlitz and Graham Langlitz as well as two brother-in-laws, Boyd (Jeannie) Nelson and Myles (Carol) Nelson, and 1 sister-in-law Ann (Chip) Blower. Mrs. Nelson had nine great grandchildren, Abby Nolte, Sophia Hunt, Emma Hunt, Davis Nelson, Keagan Ikner, Caroline Nelson, Blakeley Ikner, Simmons Ikner and Miller Nelson.

Visitation and a memorial service will be held on Friday September 6th at Resurrection Church in Daphne. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The memorial service will begin at 11:00. Family graveside interment will be at Fairhope Memory Gardens.
