Shannon Nelson Garcia

Shannon Nelson Garcia, 39, a resident of Atlanta, GA and a native of Fairhope, AL passed away on June 27, 2022. Shannon is preceded in death by her grandmothers Irene Nelson and Becky Williams and her uncle Jenkins Nelson III. Shannon is survived by her husband, Carl Garcia, stepdaughter Sadey Vrtacnik, her parents Allen and Rebecca Nelson, sister Staci Nelson (Allan Finch), nieces Ella and Adriana Finch and Hannah Arns, grandfather Jim Williams (Carolyn Parham), aunts and uncles Ashley W. Turbeville (Mark), Tommy Nelson (Sherry), Susan Nelson-Walsh (Jim), a large extended family, special friends Arica Thompson, Mark Brown and many more. Shannon had a passion for all things music, art and dance. She graduated from the University of South Alabama with a major in communications and became successful in both small and large music productions and working in industrial communication management. Shannon brought love and laughter everywhere she went. She was a kind and gentle soul with a heart of gold. She brought joy to all in her life and met every challenge with determination. She danced through life chasing her dreams and reaching for the stars. Now Shannon is walking on a warm sandy beach with her grandmothers; smiling. Memorial services in Atlanta will be announced at a later date. Local services in Fairhope, Alabama are Sunday July 10, 2022 at 2:00pm at the Chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to your local animal shelter or rescue.
