Sandy Wallace, a resident of Bay Minette, Al, left her earthly life on January 27, 2024.
She was 66 years old, and she graduated from Theodore High School in 1975. Following graduation, Sandy earned her nursing degree and devoted the rest of her life to women’s health services. She retired from Mobile Infirmary Medical Center after many years as a lactation consultant, working with hundreds of new mothers, and helping to establish the MIMC Lactation Center. Sandy loved to travel and took many trips to the mountains and enjoyed going on cruises.
She was a member of East Pointe Baptist Church in Spanish Fort. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years, Michael Wallace, her stepfather Harold Ewing, and her brothers, Jimmy Bobo and Tony Bobo. Sandy is survived by her two daughters, Holly Marion (Tom) of Crossville, Tennessee and Amy Kersey of Mobile, Alabama; three grandchildren Brooke Kersey, Kendall Kersey and Tyler Kersey, all of Mobile, Alabama; her mother Barbara Ewing of Pensacola, Florida and her brother Danny Bobo. In-laws Debbie and Gary Downey of Foley, Alabama and Karl and Shelley Wallace of Orange Beach, Alabama; niece, Adrianna Wallace of Orange Beach, Alabama; nephew, Nathan Downey of Foley, Alabama; along with many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home Chapel, Daphne. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. followed by her Celebration of Life service at 11:00. Interment will be at Jubilee Memorial Gardens in Daphne, Alabama.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
