SANDRA KATHLEEN RUPPENTHAL MORRIS THE LORD CALLED SANDRA HOME ON AUGUST 10, 2021 AT 3:35 P.M. SURROUNDED BY HER LOVING FAMILY. Born September 26, 1938, parents were William Lamar Ruppenthal and Sena Ruppenthal, both deceased, of Montgomery, Alabama. She was preceded in death by husband, Jim Nelson (2006) and son, William Lamar (Bill) Nelson (2015). Sandra is survived by her husband, Glen Morris; son, Eric Nelson (Dana); granddaughter, Nichole Nelson; great granddaughter, Fallon, of Orange Beach, AL; son, Adam Nelson, Fairhope; and good friend for over 61 years, Janet Nelson Helms. Sandra was a graduate of Sidney Lanier High School in Montgomery. She served as a Deacon in her church, Fairhope Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) – Education Committee, Fellowship and Decorating Committees. Sandra loved the Lord and always put her trust in Him. She was a very good cook and loved her family very much. She will be missed by all who knew her. She loved Alabama Football-never missed a game. Roll Tide. The family would like to express their sincere thanks for the care provided by the nurses and staff of Covenant Care, Daphne, AL. Sandra donated her body to University of South Alabama in Mobile. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Haven Animal Shelter, 559 S. Section Street, Fairhope, AL, 36532. There will be a Memorial Service at Fairhope Christian church (Disciples of Christ), 349 Fairwood Blvd, Fairhope, AL, 36532, on Saturday, August 21, 2021. Visitation at 9:00am and Service at 10:00am.
