Russell James "Sonny" Brantley

Russell James (Sonny) Brantley, age 89, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 25, 2018. A kind and gentle soul, loved by family and friends, was a long time resident of Fairhope, Alabama. Sonny is preceded in death by his parents Jesse and Lena Mae Brantley, one sister Carolyn Bishop, and four brothers, Edgar Brantley, Ralph Brantley, Billy Brantley, and Bert Brantley. He is survived by his brother-in-law Ernest E. (Bub) Bishop, sister-in-law Evelyn Brantley, nieces Carolyn (Penny) Odom (Larry), Sandra Lee (Danny), Donna Dowsey, and other nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fairhope Christian Church located in Fairhope, Alabama in Sonny’s memory.
