Rosemarie Madeja

Rosemarie Joan Madeja, age 93, a former resident of Willowick, Ohio and a current resident of Fairhope, Alabama, died on October 17, 2019. Mrs. Madeja was born to John M. Liptak and Rose Liptak on March 11, 1926. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Thomas P. Madeja, her parents, and her brother, William J. Liptak. She is survived by her sister, Patricia Liptak, of Mentor-On-The-Lake, Ohio; her son, Michael Madeja and his wife Kimberly, of Eldersburg, Maryland; daughters, Rosanne Madeja, Karen Madeja, and Carolyn Dohn (husband, Donald) of Fairhope, Alabama. Rosemarie was a very loving wife, mother, and sister. She was known for her grace and kindness toward others. She had a beautiful smile and infectious laugh. Rosemarie was well loved by her children, nieces and nephews, who always looked to her for guidance and counsel. Needlepoint and crocheting were her passions. Many members of her family were blessed by her creations. She loved to bake and was greatly treasured for her pastry delights. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the St. Lawrence Room of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Fairhope, Alabama. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
