Ronald Tamie Thames, a resident of Spanish Fort, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at the age of 75. He was born in Foley, Alabama.
Tamie was a U.S. Army veteran proudly serving his country. He was a decorated combat veteran in Vietnam.
Tamie was an avid outdoorsman, including duck hunting and fishing in the Mobile Delta, and also, he loved the Crimson Tide. He was a member of a Local Mystic Society.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife Tanya Thames of Spanish Fort; daughters, Ashley Thames of Fairhope and Amanda (Clay) Lanham of Mobile; sisters, Gwen (Karl) Williams of Spanish Fort and Sharon (Kim) Haggard of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Henry Lanham of Auburn, AL and Caroline Lanham of Mobile; mother, Louise Hadding of Spanish Fort; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends, and fur babies, Bandit and Lola.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 13, 2025, at 11:30am in the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Daphne. Visitation will begin at 10:30am. Graveside services, with military honors, will be held at 1:00pm at the Alabama State Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Spanish Fort.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be may to Shriners Children’s Hospital or a charity of your choice.
