Ronald "Ron" Eugene Padgett

Ronald (Ron) Eugene Padgett, age 82, a resident of Loxley, AL, passed away on March 13, 2025.

Ron served in the United States Army as a Paratrooper, he successfully completed the program of Instruction in Jumpmaster Techniques conducted by the Airborne-Air Mobility Department, United States Army Infantry School Fort Benning, Georgia. After his military service Ron became an electrician and joined the IBEW Local Union 505 where he received his 55-year service pin. Ron was a longtime member of Eastern Shore Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, he proudly served with a group of men from church called the Eastern Shore Builders, whose projects were building wheelchair ramps. Ron also was involved in several mission trips from Eastern Shore Baptist Church. Ron’s giving continued in his passing by gifting his body to the Anatomical Gifts program College of Medicine, University of South Alabama.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Hosia and Alice Padgett, and his daughter Tonya Padgett.

Ron is survived by his wife of 30 years Nita Padgett of Loxley, AL, two Step-Sons; Skip Busby ( Tammy) of Foley, AL, Brian Busby ( Margie) of Knoxville, TN, six Grandchildren; Kelsey Valentine, Kamryn Busby, Ian Busby ( Sabrina), Tyler Reeves( Kayla), William Busby( Makayla), Luci Busby, two Great-Grandchildren; Rowen, Beau, two Sisters; Glenda Sumrall of Daphne, AL, Jo Ann Mc Donald ( Doug) of Conroe, TX, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held at Eastern Shore Baptist Church on Saturday March 22, 2025, at 12 Noon. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday March 22, 2025, from 10:AM until 12 Noon.
