Ronald Bruce Harrison, age 76, of Daphne, AL, died peacefully at William F. Green Veteran’s Home on November 19, 2020. Ron was born in Spokane, WA to Emmett and Eunice Harrison. He spent his formative years in Memphis, TN and graduated from White Station High School. One of his proudest achievements was earning the rank Eagle Scout. After high school, he attended the University of Tennessee. He enlisted in the Army and served in the Vietnam War. Later, he moved to Alabama where he lived all over the state. He owned a restaurant and worked as a glass salesman. He eventually settled in Daphne. In the last few years of his life, he resided at the Veteran’s Home in Bay Minette. He was a member of Immanuel Episcopal Church in Bay Minette. Anyone that knew Ron, knew of his love for three things…Tennessee football, golf and Budweiser. Moving to Alabama made it difficult to be a Tennessee fan, but his blood ran orange through and through. He was an avid golfer, and he could often be found at Rock Creek Golf Club with his golfing buddies, playing golf and drinking Budweiser He had an infectious laugh and sense of humor that would entertain for hours. No one told a story better the Ron. Ron is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Marilynn Lea Givens. He is survived by his sister, Clare Harrison Branch, his brother Roland Joseph Harrison and his nieces and nephews, Andy, Kim, Carye, Joseph and Ashley. A private graveside service will be held for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to charity of choice. The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at William F. Green Veteran’s home for their unrivaled care and compassion to Uncle Ronnie and to Jan Ingram for being a devoted friend throughout his stay at the Veteran’s home.
