Robert Judson Shores

Robert Judson Shores, 46 of Fairhope, AL passed away on April 19th 2023 at home. Judson was born the oldest of three to Rita (Campbell) & Bobby Shores on September 10, 1976 in Mobile, Alabama. After graduating from Franklin High School (GA), he went on to receive his Bachelor degree in Psychology from Emmanuel College (GA). After several years of working towards his goal, he receive his Masters Degree in Marriage & Family Counseling from Liberty University in 2019. Judson was honored to earn the rank of Eagle Scout with Troop 70 in Franklin Springs, GA. He exemplified the Eagle Scout Oath, “On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.” He was most recently employed as an Industrial Supply Salesman but he was most proud of his time working in the ministry. He was a licensed minister in the IPHC and served as the Youth Pastor at Morgan United Methodist Church in Bessemer from 2006 - 2011. He then served as Small Groups & Children Pastor at Celebration Church in Fairhope, AL from 2012 - 2017. He continued to minister in volunteer positions at Church of the Highlands- Daphne Campus from 2018 on. Judson and Bree loved all the young adults and children they had the privilege to minister to over the years. Judson was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, soon to be father-in-law, “adopted” father and friend. He never meet a stranger and his smile was contagious. He showed the love of Jesus in everything he did and left his impression with everyone he meet. Judson was married to his college sweetheart, Brianne “Bree” in 1997 and they were married for 25 years. He was an adoring father to their two children, Katlyn “Katie” Grace Shores (fiancée Jeffrey Fleming) and his son Jackson Broach Shores. He was a loving uncle to his nieces Halle, Kara, Allison and Piper and to his nephews Taylor and Hunter. Also to all his “adopted” kids that he loved so much. Judson is predeceased by his maternal grandparents Bonnie Mae & James Miller Campbell, his paternal grandfather Joseph Elwood Shores and his mother-in-law Sherry Barbour Bell. Judson is survived by his wife Brianne “Bree” Shores and their children Katie (Jeffrey Fleming) and Jackson Shores of Fairhope, AL. His parents Bobby and Rita Shores of Rosinton, AL, his Father-in-law Gordon Bell of Gulf Shores, AL and his grandmother Pauline Shores Hurdle of His sisters Karen (Marty) Robertson of Greensboro, NC and Kellie Shores of Franklin Springs, GA, and his sister-in-law Tiffany (David) Costales of Fairhope, AL and brother-in-law Todd Crook of Blountsville, AL. Visitation will be on Tuesday April 25, 2023 at 6:00 pm until 8:00 at Celebration Church in Fairhope. Funeral Service will Wednesday April 26,2023 at 11:00 am at Celebration Church in Fairhope. Graveside following right after service at Hail Cemetery in Robertsdale, AL. His children are his great love and he would want them to be able to finish their education.
