Robert Nelson Schriemer

SCHRIEMER ORANGE BEACH, ALABAMA Robert Nelson Schriemer, age 85, a native of Grand Rapids, MI and a resident of Orange Beach, AL, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2018. Robert (Bob) thoroughly loved his family and having them gathered around him. He loved all of God’s creation. He loved to travel with a trip to the Holy Land being a highlight of his travels. He loved fishing, hunting and building or repairing things. He spent much time volunteering at a youth Bible camp and supporting their mission. God blessed him with two wonderful wives; spending 50 years with the first (Ardy) and when she passed, 13 years with the second (Linda).  He loved them both dearly. He was a long-time member of First Baptist Church Gulf Shores.  He is survived by his wife Linda Green Schriemer of Orange Beach, AL, children; Sheri (Don) Slot, Patti (Steve) Hollenbeck, Tom (Ellen) Schriemer, Rick (Laurie) Schriemer, fourteen grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren, two step-children; Sam Green, Cherie (Brad) Holt, three step-children, many other relatives and friends. Celebration of Robert’s Life will be held at the First Baptist Church Gulf Shores, Monday, October 15, 2018 at 11am. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the First Baptist Church Gulf Shores Building Fund.
