Robert E Lane

Robert E. Lane, age 72, a resident of Daphne, AL, passed away Monday, July 10, 2017. He was a member of the American Legion, Bucklin, KS Chapter; Senior Chief Petty Officer; US Navy Retired after 22 years of service; and an avid fishing lure collector. He is preceded in death by his parents, Sylvan and Helen Lane and sister, Donna Brown. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Peggy E. Lane of Daphne, AL; sons, David C. Blau of Denver, CO and Robert B. Lane (Heather) of Fairhope, AL; daughter, Melissa Russell (Stephen) of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren: Evan, Grayson, Hudson, and Holland Russell, all of San Antonio, TX and Lindley, Ansley and Marley Lane, all of Fairhope, AL; brothers: Roy Lane and James Lane of KS; sisters: Alyce Marsee of Wichita, KS and Rose Allen of MO; extended family and many friends. A Celebration of Mr. Lane’s Life will be held Monday, July 17, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Chapel with an inurment to follow in the Alabama State Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Spanish Fort at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Folds of Honor or Fisher House Foundation.
