Robert Henderson "Bobby" Norton

Robert Henderson Norton “Bobby”, age 79, a resident of Fairhope, AL, passed away Friday, October 7, 2022. Upon graduation from Murphy High School, Bobby joined the US Marine Corps where he served in the Philippines, two tours of duty in Vietnam, and received many commendations. He was a sergeant when he left 13 years later. Bobby loved his family, politics, and the US Marine Corps. He retired from the University of South Alabama as a supervisor in the Grounds Dept and then worked for a large real estate development company for 15 years. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Robert Earl Norton and Eva Smith Norton and his father, Earl Henderson Norton. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Bonnie Moss Norton; daughter, Hallie Norton Bardwell and her children, Max and Lucy; stepdaughters, Louise Sparks Ritter (Michael) and their children, Cole and Clara Kate, Lauren Sparks Osborne (James) and their children, Christian and Knox; sisters, Carol Norton Crowe (Lyon) and Kimberly Ann Norton (Wayne Flesher) and by Hallie’s mother, Pamela Mickelo Norton; many other loving relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 14, 2022 at the Friends of Magnolia Cemetery, Mobile.
