Robert William Foster

Robert William Foster, age 68, a native of Detroit, MI and current resident of Loxley, AL, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2019. He was a graduate of the University of New Mexico, served in the U.S Coast Guard for 35 years, retiring as a Lt. Commander. To his children and grandchildren Robert was a man of wisdom and the anchor of his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Frances T. Foster of Loxley, AL; children, Bruce R. (Nanette L.) Yanish of Silverhill, AL, Michael E. (Cynthia L.) Yanish of Dallas, Texas, Christine M. (Jarvis A.) Mitchell of Daphne, AL and Jennifer L. (Dustin A.) Smith of Atlanta, GA; brother, Michael (MaryLou) Foster of VA; sisters, Linda Joyce of FL and Barbara (Keith) Lintzenich of Ohio; eight grandchildren, Justin, Jacob, Lance, Caylen, Skylar, Caragan, Landon and Foster; along with a host of other family and friends that loved him dearly. Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 2:30 p.m., interment with full military honors in Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
