Rita Faye Sharker

Rita Faye Sharker, a resident of Plano, TX, passed away on March 29, 2020, at the age of 84. She was a graduate of Lanier High School in Montgomery, AL. She attended business school and worked many years as a claims adjuster in the insurance industry. Rita’s friends and family will remember her for her friendliness, her Southern manners, her generosity, and her strength. She made every Christmas special with her beautifully wrapped gifts, her special Christmas treats, and her magical decorations. She reminded us that middle children sometimes get forgotten and that dinner together after church on Sunday is not to be passed up. She will be missed by her family and friends, but we rejoice that she is young and joyful again in heaven after her long battle with cancer. Rita was preceded in death by her parents, Doris and John Kelly; brothers, Bob and Bill Brown; sisters, Doris Oliver and Kay Kelly. Her survivors include her son, John Sharker (Shannon) of McKinney, TX; sisters, Joanne Brown and Dianne Blaschak (Andrew), all of Fairhope; grandchildren, Joseph, Victoria, AnnaLaura and Zachary, along with other relatives and friends.
