Rita Jean Kowal

Rita Jean (Kupiec) Kowal, 85, of Fairhope, AL, died September 12, 2020, at home. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Conrad Ronald Kowal. Rita grew up in Utica, NY, the daughter of Genevieve (Guzik) Kupiec and Anthony Kupiec. She met the love of her life in high school, where she and Conrad were voted Queen and King of their Junior Prom. Rita and Conrad were married in July of 1956. The couple is survived by two children, Keith Anthony (Shana) Kowal of Fairhope, AL and Karen Leigh (Robert) Konicki of Joyfield Township, MI; grandchildren Keith Anthony Kowal, Jr., Kourtney Ann Kowal, Christine Jean Konicki, John Alexander Konicki, Jenna Helen Kowal, and Gunnar Paul Kowal. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
