Rita Margarite Hernandez

  Rita Margarite Hernandez, Age 88, born in Louisiana and a resident of Lillian, Alabama died on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at a local hospital. Mrs. Hernandez was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Lillian where she  was a member of the Altar Society, she was a homemaker, a mother of six children. She is preceded in death by her husband of sixty-three years,  Whitney A. Hernandez and a son, Michael Hernandez. Survivors include her five daughters, Paulette (Randy) Salabury of Lake Charles, LA, Patricia (Leonard) Frey of Robertsdale, AL, Ramona Hernandez of Lillian, AL, Anita (Marty) Clary of Baton Rouge, LA and Trudy Alms of Elberta, AL; one sister, Catherine Furlow and one brother, Carlyn (Gerry) Kling all of Geismar, LA; ten grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 10:00am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Lillian. The family will receive friends on Friday from 9:00am until time of the mass. Interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, FL. At 12:00pm.
