Richard Fletcher Kirkwood

KIRKWOOD ELBERTA, ALABAMA Richard Fletcher Kirkwood, Jr., age 73, a resident of Elberta, AL passed away Sunday, May 2, 2021 . He served in the U.S. Marine Corps, Vietnam Veteran where he received a purple heart. Richard was sometimes misunderstood but had a heart of gold and a fine gentleman. He is survived by his wife of 13 years Kim Kirkwood of Elberta;children , Tina (Jeff) Uptain of Adamsville, AL, Charlotte (Terry) Yarbrough of Pensacola, FL.; grandchildren, Stephen (Randi) Uptain, Caleb (Brittany) Uptain, Abby (Jarrett)Campbell, Alex Sanders, Logan Yarbrough, Ana Yarbrough, and many other relatives and friends. A private services will be held May13, 2021 at the Alabama State Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations to the Elberta Volunteer Fire Department.
