Richard Alan Jensen

PERDIDO BEACH, AL Richard Alan Jensen, age 73 , a resident of Perdido Beach, AL, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017. Richard retired from Alcatel Lucent where he worked for over 33 years, and served with the Army National Guard for 27 years. He was on the Board of Directors for the Perdido Beach Volunteer Fire Department, was an avid fisherman and loved music.  He was a member of Swift Presbyterian Church.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Andy and Erma Jensen, and a brother Jimbo Jensen. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Cheryl Jensen of Perdido Beach, AL, daughter; Jennifer Jensen (Jeff) Cain, sons; Rick Jensen and Jeff (Tracie) Jensen all of Elberta, AL, a brother; Van (Lucille) Jensen of Clearwater, FL, and seven grandchildren; Drew (Amber) , Kathryn (Jake), Jordan, Grant, Madi, Bailey and  Emma Grace. Funeral service will be held at Swift Presbyterian Church, Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 10:00 am. The family will receive friends one hour prior to funeral service. Interment will follow at Swift Presbyterian Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the music department at Swift Presbyterian Church, 23208 Swift Church Rd.
