BYRD GULF SHORES, ALABAMA Rebecca “Becky” Rodgers Byrd, Age 88, of Gulf Shores, Alabama, passed away at her home on Friday, February 9, 2018. Mrs. Byrd was a retired educator, teaching for thirty-one years in Mobile and Baldwin counties. She is preceded in death by her parents, David D. Rodgers, Sr., and Bessie Gunter Rodgers, and her husband of twenty-six years, Thomas Marion “Jack” Byrd. Survivors include her brother, David Drayton Rodgers, Jr., and his wife, Josephine. She will be missed by her loving and loved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and many other relatives. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2018, at 12:00pm at the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Foley. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time.
