Paul Stoddard Kreamer

d. November 28, 2019

Paul Stoddard Kreamer died on November 28, 2019 with his wife of 53 years, The Reverend Martha Hutchison Kreamer, by his side.  Also with him were his children, Paul Stoddard “Todd” Kreamer Jr and his wife, Heather Allison Kreamer, Mary Agnes “Maggie” Kreamer, and grandchildren, Marshall Anthony Kreamer and Ava Grace Kreamer.  He is also survived by his brother, John “Jack” Calvin Kreamer, nieces Mary Camp and Beth West, and nephew Ross G Kreamer, and a number of great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter Sarah Marshall Kreamer in 2002, by his brother, Ross Glanton Kreamer, and by his parents, Anthony Ross Kreamer and Louise Pattie Glanton Kreamer, and two nephews John C Kreamer, Jr and Bill Kreamer.  Paul was born in Burnside, KY in 1943, and raised in Danville, Ky.  He graduated from the University of Memphis, and went into the plywood and veneer business with his father, then with two other companies in Morehead City NC and Cuthbert, GA, before starting Kreamer Forest Products with his wife in 1995. He thrived in the role of clergy spouse from 2001 on, bringing his own unique brand of resourcefulness and good cheer as a full partner in ministry.  He had an active role in the every level of the Episcopal Church, singing in the choir, serving on Cursillo staff as “Cha-Cha” for 3 weekends in NC and 3 at Beckwith, and as volunteer at General Conventions of the Episcopal Church in 2009, 2012, and 2015. Paul was known for his quiet service behind the scenes, from picking up trash along the roadway in front of the church, to helping the elderly, to maintaining church grounds and arranging chairs in the parish hall. May he rest in Peace and rise in Glory. A funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held on Wednesday, Dec 4 at 1:00pm at the Episcopal Church of the Advent, 12099 Co Rd 99, Lillian Al 36549.   In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be designated for the memorial garden at that church.
