Patti Barrow Weatherford

Patricia Barrow Weatherford Patricia ‘Patti’ Barrow Weatherford, age 69, passed away peacefully at home in Spanish Fort, Alabama on Monday, August 21, 2023. Patti was born on November 28, 1953 in Pensacola, Florida. She grew up in Crestview, Florida with her siblings on their family farm, Dogwood Acres. She attended Crestview High School and was Valedictorian of her 1971 graduating class. Patti went on to the University of Florida where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. Patti and her husband Kerry dated all through college and were married in Crestview on September 20, 1975. They settled down in Mobile, Alabama where Patti worked as a Physical Therapist at Mobile Infirmary until her children were born, and she then became a full-time homemaker. Patti lived her Christian faith. She grew up in the First United Methodist Church in Crestview and then joined Kerry at Sage Avenue Baptist Church after they married. As time passed, they attended Dayspring Baptist and most recently East Pointe Baptist. Patti was preceded in death by her parents Dr. George W. Barrow and Mary Curlee Barrow. She is survived by her husband Kerry Weatherford, her children Kay (Kelley) Grenon and Matt (Sarah) Weatherford, her grandchildren Lohrelei, Pierce and Ray Weatherford and Henry Grenon; her siblings Jan (Sumner) Rutledge, Susan (Darrell) Smith and Stephen (Janet) Barrow and their families, sisters-in-law Jeanine (Robert) Hall and Valerie (Bob) Evans and their families. A celebration of Patti’s life will be held on August 24, 2023 at East Pointe Baptist Church, with visitation beginning at 10am with service to follow at noon. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Alzheimer’s Association at ALZ.org in memory of Patti. The family would like to thank the nurses from Gentiva and her personal caregivers Debra Carey, Trina Miller and Jennifer Davis for their gentle loving care.
