Ola Nelson Buchanan

Ola Nelson Buchanan, age 92, a resident of Gulf Shores, passed away Tuesday, August 8th, 2023.

Ola was born in Bon Secour, Alabama, and was a lifelong resident of Baldwin County. She was an avid quilter and a loving mother and grandmother.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, Orea Dawson Nelson and Evelyn Mund; her husband, TJ Buchanan; and her brother and two sisters.

Ola is survived by her daughter, Angela Gottler of Elberta, Alabama; sons, David (Carolyn) Buchanan of Gulf Shores, Alabama, and Tim (Wanda) Buchanan of Gulf Shores, Alabama; seven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 12th, 2023, at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home Chapel in Foley, Alabama.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow in Miller Memorial Cemetery in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
