Myrtle Black, native of Loxley and resident of Fairhope, passed away Friday, August 28, 2020. Myrtle was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fairhope. She is preceded in death by her longtime companion, Robert Layden, sister, Ruby Black Davison; brothers, Holland Black, Dean Black and Buck Black; ex-husband, John Rayborn Myrtle is survived by a daughter, Terry Rayborn Dobson; two grandchildren, Jonathan Dwight (Sara) Grigsby, Rachel Lee Dobson; two great grandchildren, Clarice Marie Grigsby and Amelia Grace Grigsby, all of Fairhope; a sister, Myrline Breedin of Daphne and many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral Service will be Wednesday. September 9, 2020 at 10:00 am at the Fairhope First Church (First Baptist Church of Fairhope). The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Holly Hills Cemetery, Bay Minette. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fairhope First Church (First Baptist Church of Fairhope).
