MSGT James Martin Lafferty (US Army Ret)

MSGT. James Martin Lafferty (US Army Ret.), age 79, a resident of Fairhope, AL., passed away Sunday, May 27, 2018. Mr. Lafferty was raised in Alabama; he attended school in Mississippi at the University of Southern Miss where he received his Bachelor’s Degree. He retired from the U.S. Army in 1993. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 250 Fowl River. He is survived by his wife, Christine Calametti Lafferty of Fairhope; sons, James Marcus Lafferty of Houston, TX, Morgan Wayne Mahone, Jr. of Huntsville (Jan) and Woody Adams (Julie) of Lowndesboro, AL; daughters, Robin Wright (Michael) of Old Salem, AL, Cheryl Ann Hanna (Ted) of Ecuador and Michele D. Amos of Libby, MT; twelve (12) grandchildren; seventeen (17) great grandchildren; sister, Elise Hoit of Seattle, WA; nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 31, 2018, from 5:00 until 7:00p.m. at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope. Graveside services will be held Friday, June 1, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the Alabama State Veteran’s Cemetery in Spanish Fort.
