It is with great sadness that the family of Mitchell James Collier announce his passing on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at the age of 44 in Fairhope, Alabama. In our hearts, “Mitch” will always be remembered for his Southern Gentleman flair---not just because of his bowties and seersucker and excellent manners---but also for the big-hearted, warm, and exuberant sociability that drew everyone to him. Mitch’s quick-witted commentary kept us all in stitches and was just one of the many indications of his intelligent, creative, and fun-loving soul. We love you, Mitch. Mitchell was born in Mobile, Alabama and attended Theodore High School, class of 1996. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, where he earned a B.A. in Public Relations and was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. In his career, Mitchell worked as an Analyst for Navigant Consulting (Atlanta), the Kreller Law Firm (New Orleans), FTI Consulting (Atlanta) and Thiry & Caddell (Mobile). He was also a very active volunteer with many philanthropic organizations such as Camp Rap-A-Hope, The Shepherd Center, and served as a docent for Rhodes Hall with the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation. Mitchell will be lovingly remembered by his parents, James Benjamin Collier and Tonya Diane Bryars Collier; his three sisters, Shirley Collier Delchamps, Candace Paige Collier and Cara Collier Hutchison; his nephews, Collier, William and Luke; and his nieces, Elise and Audrey. He will also be dearly missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends in Mobile, Tuscaloosa, New Orleans, Atlanta and Fairhope. No funeral or memorial service is immediately planned. The family will notify loved ones when a Celebration of Life is scheduled. If you would like to share a memory of Mitchell or send a condolence, please visit www.wolfefuneralhomes.com.
