Michael Travis Reed

Michael Travis Reed, a resident of Fairhope, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at the age of 63. He was a devoted Christian and a member of Church of His Presence in Daphne, AL. Michael was a USPS Letter Carrier for over 35 years. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and family grill master. A wonderful husband, father, son, brother, and Paw Paw. He also loved his dog, Buddy. Since he retired, he became a loyal Hog Member and rode his Harley everyday. He will be missed by so many and always in our thoughts. Preceding him in death are his parents, Travis and Wanda Reed. He is survived by his wife Pam Reed of Fairhope; sons, Shawn Reed of Daphne, Eric Reed also of Daphne, and Joshua Reed of Boiling Springs, SC; stepdaughter, Kristen Blackwell of Fairhope; stepson, Greg Blackwell, also of Fairhope; sister, Teri Wiersig of Foley; 8 grandchildren and many other loving relatives and friends. A celebration of Michael’s life will be held Saturday, December 23, 2023, at 12:00pm in the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope. Visitation will begin at 11:00 until time of service. Interment will be held at Memory Gardens of Fairhope at a later date. To honor Michael’s memory, donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made to the Salvation Army on Dauphin Street, Mobile, AL.
