Melinda Cotten Wood

Melinda Cotten Wood, a native of Fairhope, AL, passed away from this life Friday, June 2, 2023, at the age of 67, with her family by her side. She was the daughter of the late Thomas A. Cotten of Fairhope. She was a member of Spanish Fort United Methodist Church and of the DAR, Daughters of the American Revolution. Melinda is survived by her husband of 46 years, Daniel Wood; her mother, Eldred Cotten Reber; her sister, Melissa Odom and husband, Steve of Fairhope; her brother, William Cotten and wife Debra of Fairhope; her brother, Albert Cotten and wife Sherry of Pensacola, FL; her brother-in-law, Phillip Wood of Dallas, TX; her sister-in-law, Dede Works of Daphne, AL; many nieces, nephews, grand nephews and nieces, and her beloved pets. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 10, 2023, at 11:00am in the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope. Visitation will begin at 10:00am Interment will follow funeral service at Memory Gardens of Fairhope. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to your local Animal Rescue Shelter.
