Mary Crump Wade – born May 21, 1923, departed this life for her heavenly home on April 23, 2019. She was a native of Parrish, AL and a longtime resident of Lillian, AL. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of forty-five years, William “L” Wade, five brothers and one sister, and parents, N. Veto Crump and Bertha Tubbs Crump. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Vickers (Bill) of Fairhope, AL, son, W. Dyrell Wade, of Lucedale, MS and daughter, Shelia Graverson (Dan) of Mobile, AL; seven grandchildren, Kimberly Dennis (David), Leslie Knox, Britney Stahl (Matt), Ashleigh LaSalla, Zachary Pickrell, Victoria Pickrell, and Daniel Graverson; eight great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild; she leaves behind one sister, Estelle Kellum of Meridian, MS and many nieces, nephews, and relatives. Mary loved working in her yard, cooking for her family and sewing. She didn’t obtain a host of degrees, awards and accolades, but her greatest joy in life was loving and caring for her family. A private graveside service will be held at Pine Rest Memorial Park in Foley, AL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the First Baptist Church, Fairhope’s Capital Campaign. The family wishes to thank the wonderful caregivers at Eastern Shore Rehab and Healthcare Center and Southern Care Hospice who loved on and cared for Mary over the past 16 months. “Oh, the sweet life of a Christian that hath made his peace with God!
