Mary Mills Jones

Mary Mills Jones and her twin, Susan Lafferty, were born to James Arthur Mills and Mary Gardner Mills in Greenock, UK on October 15, 1951.  She has two other sisters, Ruby Bates and Josephine Mills, as well as one brother, James Mills.

She was loved by many but none more that her husband, Michael Jones.  Together, they loved their children; Lisa (Will) Wood, Jonathan (Tracy) Hester, and Scotty (Victoria) Jones.

Mary loved tending to her plants, caring for her puppies and feeding her hummingbirds.  Most of all, though, she loved spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandbabies, Kaylee, Noelle, Connor Reese, Grady, Alysia and Larson.  She was a treasured daughter-in-law to Thomas and Glenda Carpenter.

Mary passed away on April 28, 2023.  Her legacy of love and laughter will be carried forth by all of those lucky enough to know and remember, Mary Mills Jones.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, May 5, 2023 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Elberta, AL.
