Mary Ruth McWhorter

Mary Ruth McWhorter, age 72, a resident of Silverhill, Al., passed away on March 17,2024.  

Mary was in the Foley High School Class of 1969, and was an avid crafter and jewelry maker, and loved being at the beach and fishing.  

Preceding her in death are her parents, Samuel and Ernestine McWhorter; and her sons, Ty Taylor Morgan and Trevor Samuel Morgan.

Mary is survived by her son, Troy Morgan of Silverhill, AL; daughter, Tonya Norsworthy of Foley, AL; sister, Penelope (Paul) Hammock; grandchildren, Derek, Morgan, Ryan, Nic, Chancelor, Zack, and Branton; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 nieces; 2nephews, many great-nieces and great-nephews; and many other loving relatives and friends.

There will be no service per Mary’s request. Her only wish was to have her ashes returned to the place that she loved the most - the shores of the Gulf. 

She is more precious than jewels; And nothing you desire compares with her. Long life is in her right hand; In her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace.   Proverbs 3:15-17
