Mary Lou Mashburn Rider

Mary Lou Mashburn Rider, 86, a resident of Spanish Fort went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 12, 2021.

Mary was born on November 11, 1934 in Galveston, TX to Robert Mashburn and Edna Mae Johnson. She was a long time, faithful member of First Baptist Church of Spanish Fort and a proud retiree from the Providence Hospital Medical Records Department.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Aubrey Rider; son, Aubrey Shane Rider; and a brother, Robert “Buddy” Mashburn of Mobile.

Mary is survived by her son, Richard Lane Rider (Leah) of Flower Mound, TX; sisters, Yvonne Craig of Spanish Fort, Helen Osborne (Lynwood) of Spanish Fort, and Patsy Alford (Ray) of Mobile; grandchildren, Justin Shayne Rider (Katie) and Heather Lynn Rider;  sister-in-law, Pat Mashburn; great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many other loving relatives and friends.

Services will be held at noon on Friday, September 17, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Spanish Fort. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Interment to follow at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
